It is a state-of-the-art hybrid energy storage system that consists of two General Electric (GE) LM6000<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">based EGT\u00aes. EGT\u00ae refers to the\u00a0Hybrid\u00a0technology jointly developed by General Electric International, Inc. (GE) and Wellhead Power Solutions. The EGT\u00ae combines a\u00a0turbine with an integrated battery storage\u00a0system operated by a proprietary software system.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In total, SERC provides 98 MW (nominal) of hybrid energy storage capacity.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This technology\u00a0provides a broad array of unique reliability benefits that<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">neither\u00a0turbines nor batteries can provide on their own.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">SERC is a cutting-edge reliability resource. It has been designed to deliver superior reliability services with a minimal carbon footprint and a low emissions profile \u2013 all in an aesthetically pleasing design. The project is one of the first green-field commercial applications of the EGT\u00ae technology.
